Diptych, Dusk Winter Sunset & Dawn Winter Moon Set
 
Painted nearly a year apart, this diptych captures the end and beginning of a winter’s day. The first painting, Dusk Winter Sunset, captures the glow of the last light on a chilly winter’s eve. Whereas the second painting, Dawn Winter Moonset, was inspired by a crisp winter’s morning where the pinks and purples were rich against the glowing moon. The serendipity of the timing of the second painting was almost like it was waiting for the right time to come to fruition – just as they represent a day cycle, it was also a year’s cycle.
